अनौठो उपचार

यो संसारमा उपचारका विधिहरु अचम्मै अचम्मका हुन्छन् र सुनिन्छन् पनि । यस्तै एउटा उपचार जसलाई रुकुम जिल्लाको तकसेरा गाउँका वासिन्दाले वर्षै देखि विश्वासका साथ प्रयोग गर्दै आइरहेका छन् । सुकेनास, रुन्चे जस्ता रोग लागेको र प्राय अस्वस्थ रहने बच्चालाई दशैंका बेला काटेको राँगाको पेट भित्र छिराइ दिएपछि निको हुन्छ भन्ने विश्वासले रुकुम तकसेराका बासिन्दाहरुमा छ । दशैंमा राँगा काटेपछि पेटबाट अलिकति लादी निकालेर केही छिनकालागी बच्चालाई त्यस भित्र छिराएर हल्लाउने गरिन्छ ।  यसरी बच्चालाई राँगाको पेट भित्र छिराएर निकाले पछि रोग निको हुने विश्वास गाउँलेहरुको छ । अरुबेला नभएर दशैंमा नै काटेको राँगामा मात्र यस्तो गर्नै चलन छ । १८ महिना सम्मको बच्चालाई यसरी राँगाको पेट भित्र हालेर निकालिने गरिन्छ । पहिला अस्वस्थ बच्चालाई मात्र हालिन्थ्यो भने आजभोली स्वस्थ बच्चा अझ निरोगी र बलियो  हुन्छ भन्ने विश्वासले एकपटक राँगाको पेट भित्र हालेर निकाल्ने गर्दछन् । सैयौं वर्ष देखि चलिआएको यो चलनको वैज्ञानिक कारण कसैलाई थाहा हुने कुरै भएन । तर चलन भने अझै यथावत नै छ ।

In this world, one hears and witnesses series of unusual methods of curing a disease. One of the strangest of such methods is still being practiced in Rukum. Children below or of 18 months who are suffering from malnutrition are forcibly placed inside the scissored stomach of a buffalo sacrificed in Dashain to make the children free from the disease. However, the animal must be sacrificed during Dashain, not any-when else.  No one, not even the locals, can justify why this practice is still being followed. The original practice was carried out only for the malnourished  but these days, in order to make every children immune, even the healthy ones have to go through the ordeal.
